Who We Are

Working Groups

BLU working groups bring together leaders from small- and medium-sized businesses to collaborate with a diverse group of education, labor, community-based, and public sector partners to guide and advance an agenda that addresses worker pipeline challenges and closes the skills gap.

Working group members bring an employer-driven perspective to a range of policy discussions including access to on-the-job training, apprenticeship, and work based learning; employment advancement for people with low reading, math, and English skills as well as youth and young adults struggling to enter the workforce; a job-driven higher education system including student access to occupational training; and the creation of workforce and education data systems that help students and workers find colleges and training programs, and help employers find skilled workers.
